Persian limes or Tahiti limes by the name scientifically called Citrus latifolia is triploid cross between key lime (Citrus aurantifolia) and lemon (Citrus limon). this lime is tropical and humid subtropical regions plant.
Growth of this lime is at -1 to 42°C. It is cultured in large scale in southern Iran and is one of the most common commercial varieties. The age of Persian lime tree is about 10 to12 years old and they can grow up to 4.5 to 6 meters in height, they have less thorn compared to other types.
